The Revolution May Not Necessarily Be An Improvement

A lot of people talk trash about the people in charge, and a lot of times they're right. Sometimes I think they're wrong, but most of the time I know deep down the ruling people don't have a lot to work with.

We live in a society where 71% of people are below average, and that number grows every day. "Average" is the status quo and we'll never have really smart President because really smart people know that only an idiot would want a job where you spend your vacations clearing brush on a ranch in Texas.

99% of politicians develop a power fetish. The rest are in for the chicks.

It's true! It's all true. When Lenin led the Revolution against King George III and George Washington, everything was better for like a day, and then we all realized we'd be eating a whole lot more pickled beets.

Doesn't "average" mean 50th percentile? Doesn't that mean that 50% of people are below average, not 71? Of course I agree with the falling rate of what counts for "average" in this country (I witness it every day) but lets be honest: the only revolution that works is the one that works slowly and calls each and every one of us to responsibility for our inactions. Can't blame corrupt politicians - its our damn fault they're there!

However, in terms of weight, a lot of people are above average, so that's nice!

Well, I rethought my consensus of the president a few weeks ago, when he was in New Orleans and one of the big time news heads interviewed him. I don't remember much, but I do remember him saying "This isn't a popularity contest, you just do what you think's right for the nation."

This made me realize that, just because I disagree with what he does doesn't make him a total idiot. He's not our greatest president, but he's just doing what he thinks is right. And sure, he messed up bigtime with Katrina, and 9/11, but what president doesn't make mistakes.

And anyways, it's not like I can do any better.

I don't support him, but he's running our country, so I'm giving him some slack.

P.S., awesome camoflauge.

I almost stopped voting altogether, it seemed that no matter who I voted for, the government kept getting into power.

Wait a second _haro, doesn't the fact that George thinks he's doing the right thing when, in fact, he is doing the wrong thing make him an idiot by definition? Idiot means uneducated and ignorant. No, not the almighty president. "I just do what 'I' think is right for the country. I don't bother asking others for advice or input because God told me to do it, and we ALL know God is completely infallible. He talks to me you know."

He gets advice from his cabinet. Also, don't put all the blame on him; we have three branches with equal power. You have to blame the whole government for the faulty decisions they have made.

Sure, a lot of decisions were directly influenced by him, but the mere fact that our government is set up this way makes it wrong to blame him and only him.

What does that even mean?

PhoenixDebaser has confused the 'median' and the 'mean'.

We can have a bunch of people below average, as long as there are a bunch of REALLY great folk.

J Ro is a funnyman, a cyberbilly satirist. He makes fun of things in his cyberbilly persona.

"71% of people are below average"

Ignorant people making fun of ignorant people is comic gold.

i love the line "the television will not be revolutionized"!!

it's true on so many levels... if there was a revolution and it made using the three branches checks and balances and non-unilateral foreign policy come back into political vogue... would the tv news machine cover it fairly or try clinging to the outgoing party's status consevative quo and smear the revolutionaries as anti american villains?

i don't know. i know there are 60 something days until a potential power shift in Congress though which just might bring back the ol checks n balances. i cross my fingers starting now.

I'm sorry _haro, I don't know much about poli-tricks, so I may have a slightly ignorant/uneducated view of the whole subject, but I DO know that, if I were the boss of a very large company, I would want all big decisions to come across my desk before being acted upon, thereby allowing me full control over any and everything that my company does. Which makes me ultimately responsible for all of the repurcussions that occur regarding those decisions. Doesn't the president have such a policy? Shouldn't any act done by the US government be approved by the leader of said government? If he can't be held responsible, then it seems like it would be incredibly easy for him to just point the finger anytime something goes wrong. Delegation is a great tool, but we are all people, and if the ones getting the responsibilities delegated to themselves can and do make mistakes, then there must be someone higher who reviews their decisions before they become mistakes. That higher person (not like Weedmaster P) is the president. Bah, anyway, I understand what you're getting at, that no one single person can be held fully responsible for the actions that are decided and agreed upon by many people. But, someone has to be responsible. Ah well, we all have opinions, that's mine, you're entitled to yours. Have a good day.
