Five Years

Five years since nine-eleven, seriously? Seems like ten years. Kind of a lot has happened since then! I found the comic I did five years ago and here it is.

Also let me know if you'd be interested on working on a wiki-type project for these here comics! I am trying to install Mediawiki and set up a small crew to watch over it.

A movie about what? The attacks or your sister's birthday?

Btw, I know what you're going through. My baby brother is a senior in High School. I feel ancient.

I might be interested in working on a wiki-type project. My last project was cultspace.org, which is a little community site in PHP with MySQL and that kind of thing. I do web servlets for a living too.

I want to meet your sister! We are of the same age, and I guess that is my basis for wanting to meet her. Is she famous at her Oklahoma land school? I would hope so.

I just spent a half hour perusing the "when I grow up" archive. I kinda miss the old gang -- how about some cameos?

I just keep thinking that you could've cut it after the first four panels, and it still would have been funny.

i'll be willing to work on the wiki project since i've been banned from the regular wikipedia. damn those revisionist arm-chair historians!!!!

I think if you had left the hair wax at home, it would have been ok. Then again, this day is very important to "my people" is probably the wrong thing to say, but hey, you were drunk, it's understandable.
I just got all nostalgic from seeing the old When I Grow Up comics. Jeffrey Rowland is still making quality comics after all this time. Awesome.

you just made a hilarious 9/11 joke without being outrageously inappropriate or offensive. that is awesome.

and happy birthday Mashley!

What an excellent birthday! (Seriously, it's mine, too.) I think we should try to come up with all of the good things to remember the anniversary of today, rather than this one sort of bad thing.

Mediawiki is the cat's pajamas; it's a bit of a pain to get set up, but it's worth it. I've set up Mediawiki on FreeBSD for the intranet where I work and I'm also familiar with Linux and Windows. I'm not quite sure how this blogger.com stuff works as far as contact information goes (and can't believe I had to set up a blog just to comment) so let me know if you desire assistance and can't get in touch. I'd also like to take this time to thank you for the endless entertainment and distraction your webcomic has provided me. Unforunately, due to unforseen circumstances I will be unable to.
