I don't know why, after all the times I've flown, years working in aviation, and logging literally dozens of hours in Microsoft Flight Simulator, I still get freaked out about flying. Perhaps it's because it's an affront to nature.

Hey, did you know the The Flaming Lips are gonna be playing a concert after the races at the Del Mar Fair? It's about 20 minutes north of downtown. The first race starts at 4 pm, but I'm not sure when the races end and the concert will begin. It is open to all with race admission.
